Home Rehabilitation Project — Maiduguri

About This Project

In September 2024, Al Amaanah Aid launched the Home Rehabilitation Project in Maiduguri, Borno State, in response to the devastating impact of flooding, displacement, and economic hardship. The project began in a community where over 100 homes were severely damaged, leaving many families without safe and dignified shelter.

Our intervention started with an initial batch of 8 homes, and currently, close to 10 homes have been identified, with rehabilitation work already underway. However, these homes remain incomplete due to funding constraints.

This initiative focuses on repairing structurally damaged homes, rehabilitating living spaces for flood-affected families, and restoring safe, secure, and dignified shelter for vulnerable households.

This project is not just about rebuilding houses, it is about restoring dignity, stability, and hope for families working to rebuild their lives.

Current Phase & Immediate Need

To complete the ongoing homes and fulfil our commitment to the affected families, an estimated ₦10,000,000 is urgently required.

The Broader Vision

Beyond this initial phase, our broader vision is to rehabilitate at least 100 homes within the community. With an estimated cost of ₦5,000,000 per home, this brings the total projected budget for the full scale of the project to ₦500,000,000.
