Healthcare Support Project

About This Project

Access to healthcare remains a major challenge for many vulnerable families across Nigeria, where patients often receive treatment but are unable to leave hospitals due to unpaid medical bills. Through this initiative, Al Amaanah Aid provides financial assistance to help indigent patients settle medical bills and access essential treatment, ensuring that financial hardship does not stand in the way of care and recovery.

For the 2026 phase of this project, we aim to raise ₦25,000,000 to support vulnerable patients across Primary Healthcare Centres in Abuja, with a particular focus on paediatric cases where children suffer from treatable but life-threatening illnesses such as pneumonia, severe malaria, congenital heart condition, malnutrition, typhoid, and acute respiratory infections.

Our previous outreach was conducted at Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, and future interventions will focus on Primary Healthcare Centres across Abuja, where underserved communities are most likely to seek affordable medical care.

This project is not just about paying bills, it is about restoring dignity, easing hardship, and giving vulnerable individuals, especially children, a better chance at recovery and life.

How Funds Have Been Used So Far

So far, we have raised ₦500,000, which has already been deployed to support patients and families in need. Of this amount, ₦200,000 was used to provide essential health and hygiene materials during hospital outreach, while ₦300,000 was used to settle medical bills for patients who could not afford treatment.

These interventions have supported multiple vulnerable patients and families, helping to relieve financial pressure and enabling access to necessary healthcare services. To scale this impact and reach more individuals in urgent need, we are currently seeking to raise the remaining ₦24,500,000.
