About This Project
Access to quality education remains a major challenge for many children in underserved communities, particularly within public schools where poor infrastructure and financial constraints continue to limit opportunities for academic growth.
Through this initiative, Al Amaanah Aid aims to improve learning environments while also supporting students financially, ensuring that no child is forced to drop out of school due to economic hardship.
For the 2026 phase of this project, we aim to raise ₦50,000,000 to kickstart our education intervention across selected public schools in Abuja.
Two Key Areas of Focus
School Rehabilitation
Improving basic infrastructure in public schools to create safer and more conducive learning environments.
Student Support
Structured scholarships for students from low-income backgrounds, focused on critical transition stages such as Primary 6 to JSS1 and SS3 to tertiary education, where dropout rates are highest.
Our scholarship approach will be needs-based and merit-driven, ensuring that support is given to students who not only demonstrate financial need but also show commitment to their education. In the initial phase, we aim to support 10–20 students, with ongoing monitoring of academic performance to ensure accountability and impact.
At present, no funds have been raised for this project, and this initiative represents a key opportunity for sponsors and partners to help us launch a sustainable education support system. This project is not just about funding education, it is about investing in potential, reducing dropout rates, and empowering the next generation with the opportunity to succeed.
